*LOL** She is gonna make good use of that pool today I think!
I'm off and running for awhile... gonna go enjoy the type of day we don't get very often in these parts...
Even the "breeze" is from the south today, not the usual north-west!

Bah! Give me 70°F with some clouds. This summer I'm working as a postal carrier. Earlier last week it reached nearly 90, with a heat index over 100. Now, that wouldn't be bad if I could sit in an air conditioned building, but when you walk approx. 10 miles delivering mail, and half to work out of a truck with no air conditioning, it gets hot. In fact, I got so hot one day that I got heat rash (red marks on my face and back), as well as sick to my stomach. Trying to find a bathroom when you are in a residential neiborhood isnt easy.
Go away hot weather, bring me snow!

Worked a 61 hour week. Boy ;( Mike! my Brother has been a Postal Carrier in No. Long Beach Cal. for 38 yrs now. Why he hasn't retired is beyond me? Thought for sec that ship was in my yard around 3am coming for me DB. Lights every which way ... every dog on the street barking ... helicopter circling about.
Turns out the local police were after someone or someone's who robed a gas station near by. NO gas stations these days have more than $400 readily cash! Most don't even have $300 even. Those checkers stick said amount regularly in the volt each half hour on the hour. Go figure?!?

Well, I'll tell ya... I can't figure it out, but I know what you mean! It happens here too...
We've finally had a police in a helicopter for the last decade or so, it really does help... that thing has a light so strong, they flew over my house one night looking for some idiot and all of a sudden *I* found myself caught in this "beam"... very spooky!
I was just taking out the garbage...

I hit my floodlights on asap. Two in the back and three in the front all at once. Lights up the whole property and overflows into the street plus the neighbors (which is by his request) garage. Mixed emotions from the cops. Some were going to shoot the lights but a couple stopped them. I ended out shutting off the fronts since they were there.
Not EVEN going to post what Brigit wanted to do with some cops pant legs other than barking her head off. .... errr .... "nice dog you've got" ya want me to put her the house right? "please"
Read in the paper they caught the one guy. Supposedly (by the paper) he stole $67 armed with a gun. They caught him still with the gun! The gas station cameras had his mug in the act on three cameras.
Talk about not the shiniest spoon in the kitchen ... this guy ate with his feet!

Spencer is much the same way if he feels I'm in danger...
Personally I don't mind him doing a little yapping if he figures he heard something though... it discourages "things" including the sort of genius you discribe there! We don't have quite so many people with guns, the stricter laws... but if these guys really want one they'll get it.
What's more of a worry here is the number of stabbings...

Turns out from another local paper the guy was a two-time-loser Dream. Now he's going to sit behind bars for the rest of his life watching the world spin. FOR WHAT!?! Less than $100.
Paper gave a short description of his past. He was never a good boy ever!
