Title: Virex 7

What's the go with Virex 7. I have always used Virex 6 on OS 8.6 & 9 with no problems. The version for OS X is either spinning endlessly or "unexpectedly quitting". It doesn't seem to have an automatic update feature either. I am using another program "Virusbarrier" with no problems. Anybody have similar experience or any  advise on how to get it to work? The version I am using came free with MacLink Plus deluxe

They really mangled  v. 7 of Virex. I updated and it hasn't worked right since. In my case, I can't authenticate as the administrator of my machine to update the virus definitions.

Another problem was with Fink. Virex creates a new directory at the root level called /sw, wouldn't you know it, Fink does the same. There were a lot of angry Fink users out there when they updated Virex.
