Title: What's your favourite time waster on the web?
Post by: rgray on July 20, 2013, 03:41:43 PM
My current favourite time waster on the web is the Lobster Cam from Nova Scoria. I pass a lot of, er, thinking time staring at.... I mean, observing the sea life in the image that updates every 2 seconds.

Murphy's maintains several lobster traps in Halifax Harbour and obtained a scientific lobster license from the Department of Fisheries and Ocean for educational purposes. Guests of Murphy's Nature and Whale Watching Tours have the opportunity to experience minke whales, fin whales, dolphins, seals, tuna, sunfish, a variety of seabirds and - of course - lobster.

Guess my favourite time-waster on the web IS the web; intriguing links are the worst and often the most disappointing

Note to self: don't visit underwater webcam at night.
But did you see the pics in the comment section of crab on a bun and the scallops with bacon and cheese?

At the present moment there are two lobsters in the trap.
In New Brunswick there is a small fast food chain that serves scallops and fries among other treats!

Mine was the puppy-cam. Had it running constantly while they were babies. Hope they do it again this winter, if they do, I will put the link here. They were service dogs, and they are all grown up and in training for people who need them. Labs and goldens.
