Except you forgot that I'm no fan of things that move on websites with no input from the user! Granted, they did have a stop and go control on that site, but in general, unless it's real video, I find it pretty pointless beyond the first visit, and usually pointless then too. Part of the "wowwee - look what I can do" school of web design.
Now...back to the salt mines...er, web design for real clients.

I thought you'd enjoy it, Paddy!
What I fail to understand (among several hundred thousand!) is why one would want this kind of 'text' display every time the page opens?! People complain now if it takes more than three seconds for a page to load, why would anyone want to wait to see whatever the text was going to say... even the first time?!

kimmer, I'm sure they could arrange for you to have that 'music.' Of course, you'd want to have the "ON/OFF" button labeled with the animated text with as long a word as possible and maybe below 'the fold' so it wouldn't be too obvious or easily seen...
Anyway, I guess I know what NOT to get you two for Christmas...

Well they did follow the rule about limiting the fonts used on a page. Of course, they did that while completely ignoring most other guidelines... OTOH, their 'hip', tech-savvy audience probably thinks it's perfectly fine.

Hmm, all I get is a blank page with a notation in the tab that the site is under construction.
