Title: Is iChat a thing of the past??
Post by: RNKIII on July 29, 2014, 02:33:04 PM
Title kinda says it all…
Have been trying off and on for 10 days or better to contact some "chat" buddies with out success.
Anyone still using this service?

I thought Messages + FaceTime + Contacts took over hose functions. I don't even have anything labeled "iChat" on my Mavericks install. There's a "video" icon on the Message(s) window that brings up your (FaceTime) camera. dntknw.gif
QUOTE
FaceTime makes it possible to talk, smile, and laugh with anyone on iPad 2 or later, iPhone 4 or later, iPod touch, or a Mac. All you need is an Apple ID and an email address.

You would probably be getting some kind of request right now since I just clicked your 'video' button in my Contacts. The video is now telling me you are "not available for FaceTime". Nice picture of me, however... laughhard.gif

Of course, this assumes I'm calling the correct "Bob". You're the one with the yacht, right? wink.gif More likely, you just have me 'Blocked'!
