Title: Stopping GIF's in Chrome

Way back when I asked if anyone had any idea how to stop all the gif's on a particular site from auto-playing, but we never found an answer. Today I reached the end of my rope and searched again and found ... Gif Jam for Chrome.

For those with Firefox, there is hope (but I can't verify this):

Uhmn...Are you talking about animated gifs like the one you used in both of your last posts?! inspect.gif STOP WASTING MY GPU!!!
Do you also throw recyclable items into the regular trash? eek2.gif "Glass people shouldn't run on concrete!" er... sumthin' like that... rofl.gif

Yup, but I have it turned off for this site. Only I really wanted the gif stopper for THIS site, which gives me a headache trying to read the local news.  rolleyes.gif

Apparently, it is taking a bit longer for "wed design" skills to get all the way the to the Oregon coast... Maybe you should pass along a link to some of these sites:
