Title: Stopping GIF's in Chrome
Post by: kimmer on June 11, 2015, 04:15:57 PM
Way back when I asked if anyone had any idea how to stop all the gif's on a particular site from auto-playing, but we never found an answer. Today I reached the end of my rope and searched again and found ... Gif Jam for Chrome.

Yup, but I have it turned off for this site. Only I really wanted the gif stopper for THIS site, which gives me a headache trying to read the local news.

At least they don't use blinking, scrolling text for their news copy!
Apparently, it is taking a bit longer for "wed design" skills to get all the way the to the Oregon coast... Maybe you should pass along a link to some of these sites:

There's always a silver lining, but don't give the owner any ideas. He's already turned off comments because they went against his point of view.
