Title: using Omni Web unlicensed
Post by: csonni on July 21, 2003, 06:56:11 PM
Just recently, when starting up Omni Web, I am now given the option to either license it or quit.  I thought that you can run Omni Web unlicensed without limit.  How do I get it to run without licensing it?

Are you running one of the betas? 4.5 beta will expire on August 1, 2003, so I expect that if you're running one of the earlier beta versions, it's simply expired. 4.2.1 works just fine in unlicensed mode for me. I still don't use it all that much - Safari being my browser of choice these days, but one of these days I may even buy it.

It's 4.5 beta 1.  Not sure why it's copping out on me like this so early.

Csonni, they're up to beta 3, and even that is supposed to expire on August 1 if used in unlicensed form. I expect that they'll release another one this week...or hope so! Until they get out of beta, I don't think I'll be paying for it, since it isn't my primary browser.
