Title: SeaMonkey woes

I know that most of you don't use SeaMonkey as your browser, but I've enjoyed having an integrated Browser and Mail Client for a long time. Unfortunately, more and more, SeaMonkey does not display websites correctly much of the time, a couple of the credit cards sites I pay online won't work correctly, and there is no longer an easy option to display .pdf's without downloading them.

SeaMonkey pretty much used to keep pace with Firefox, as they are both Mozilla products, but alas, no longer. And also seems to be the source of memory leaks these days as well. Oh well.

A couple years ago, Firefox was my choice of browsers. Safari has since come of age and even surpassed Firefox, in my humble opinion. I keep Firefox updated and it's still my backup browser when Safari occasionally has a problem.

I gave up on mail clients other than Apple's Mail that I use primarily for Apple related correspondence and Gmail for iOS. I really like Gmail for its filtering and ability to keep up with email that comes from sources that don't play well with Mail.

We've jumped into Chrome/Google with both feet in my school district so I use Chromium (a variant of Chrome which "seems" to be more stable) for all the work stuff I have to do. I still browse with
Firefox although there are times when I pine for something more. You could see if you could get Microsoft to pay you to use EDGE!

Apparently Google is going to bail-out on the Mac market over the next few years:

Is there anyone using Opera or Vivaldi? I liked an early Opera but it wasn't as compatible and then I think they were wanting payment for it; maybe need to bite the bullet!

Opera is free. I keep it around but don't use it. My primary browser is Safari (which I really like) but I occasionally use Firefox (actually, rarely).

Seems like I remember that Opera didn't keep pace with all the newer Mac OS for awhile??? I seem to remember that it stopped working at some point, and I took it off the Dock. I just downloaded the newest version to play around with and it's displaying properly several sites that have become problematic with SeaMonkey. Seems fast and pretty slick, guess I'll play around with it for a bit!

They're bailing on the APPS for Chrome on Macs, Windows and Linux, not Chrome itself, nor anything else I can see related to other OS'/Google. The Apps will, as of 2018, only run on the Chrome OS. They're obviously trying to create something unique to the Chrome OS which currently doesn't exist in order to encourage people to switch to the Chrome OS.
