Title: Problems with interwebs
Post by: Xairbusdriver on December 07, 2016, 09:27:24 AM
Last night, I found that a National Weather Service site was not responding to access requests (html links). This morning, SWMBO, thought Comcast was again forcing it self into our WiFi network. It turned out to simply be Mindspring.com not responding (I know, so twentieth century...). Just now, TS even failed to connect. And another site is extremely slow. Perhaps it's just the local pipe? There must be several dozen coming into Memphis, probably some even in the Mighty Muddy (underwater cables in the Mississippi River!).
Or it's a preliminary strike of the Super Moon later next week! Where is my tin foil hat when I need it?!!
All better now, but even the $ell phones were being slow to make connections... Too many online (computer and smart phone) shoppers? I hope everyone here has already sent my gift!

Hmmm ... last evening I was streaming a show and suddenly it began to pause and reload (or whatever it's called). After around 5 minutes it was all back to normal. I wasn't using anything else on the 'net, so I don't know if they would have had a problem. Maybe there was a hiccup in the skies? Santa taking his sleigh for a test drive?

I'm just sticking this 'news' here since it could be related in the future for EU members.
