This sure sounds invasive! What will they want next? See what kind of toothpaste we use? What we eat for breakfast,,,,,,This is getting a bit scary.
Can they watch US while we watch TV? A reason not to get a 'smart TV'.

I wouldn't touch that company (or any that does the same) with the proverbial 10 foot pole. I don't even like that Google has taken photos of my house. For similar privacy reasons, I refuse to participate in social media.

That's been standard practice since they bought out our RoadRunner system years ago. But, thanks to the FCC we'll be protected. Oh, wait, the political appointee chairman says the FCC is too under staffed to do things like that so they'll turn over the surveillance to the FTC which won't act until we are actually harmed. "What? Me worry?"
Perhaps, if they actually monitor how often we switch channels during commercials, they might learn something...
BTW, you are not supposed to read that fine print...

Comcast has a monopoly here, so there is no other choice. We try our best to keep all our info private, but its next to impossible. And Google with its pictures and all its info is just as bad.
I use social media very rarely, except recently Ive been involved in placing dogs needing homes locally. And some people use Facebook for their only means of communication, and probably dont even know how to email. Its sad, I have an elderly friend like that, so we only use the phone with him.
If Comcast really wants to know, then they will notice how little we watch TV, and how we click to another station just as soon as the commercials come on. Even the Weather Channel is sinking with commercials nowadays and also the PBS stations as well.
But we really cannot get along without the internet.
