Of course, there is that mighty variable called 'lack of self-restraint' among consumers. Companies have been catering to that for decades in practically every area of our lives; it's called advertising. I can remember when many thought 'advertising' would supply information about a product! rolleyes.gif That was the day of "World Book" and "Britannica" encyclopedias.

Over here, the government has just introduced a "sugar tax" on soft drinks. Too little, far too late, I fear  sad.gif

We've had several large cities do/try that. Usually a ruse to find more tax dollars. rolleyes.gif It's easier to find something to tax than something to cut from the budget.
There's more than one weigh to get the fat out!
