Title: Sheryl Crow...wow!
Post by: JohnKentucky on August 02, 2003, 11:02:18 PM
Just got back from her show tonight. I thoroughly enjoyed her show....she is a brilliant musician. I didn't realize how short she was...and wow..what a babe!!
My seat was in Row C....5 back from the stage. I had an excellent view. What's even cooler is that I was able to sneak in a throwaway camera and took 27 pictures of the concert...hope at least 1 turns out! Guy next to me got his 35mm camera in with this big lens. I gave him my email address in the hopes that he does send me copies.
She played all of her hits..even the duet with Kid Rock song. Last song was Rock and Roll (Led Zep song) that kicked butt!
Highly recommend seeing her live. When I get the pics developed and on CD, I'll post one or two here.

Hey John, I've seen her a couple of times: first when her "Sat. night Club" album came out, she warmed up for Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and the Blues Travelers. Good show, as she was wearning super-short leather shorts (maybe I should rephrase that. . .Nah!), but her band wasn't so hot. Saw her again as warmup for the Stones last year, and the improvement was amazing. . .And she's 40 yrs. old! Something to be said about fine wines. . .

A few years ago in an emergency room I was working in, it was the unanimous opinion (at least among the male staff ) that she had the sexiest teeth in rock. (We weren't complaining about the rest of her either. )

I wonder if she stopped long enough to eat a infamous Kentucky Hot Brown?
It’s one of the things on my agenda!

BARDSTOWN, Ky. (AP) - Fire engulfed a wood-frame bourbon warehouse Monday, sending alcohol-fueled flames more than 100 feet in the air.
The Jim Beam warehouse collapsed about two hours after the fire was reported at 3 p.m. and continued burning. There were no reports of injuries.
Firefighters doused two nearby warehouses with water in an attempt to save them, while a fire truck stood by at a third.
``Only one of them is on fire and they're working to make sure that it stays that way and to contain the burning whiskey,'' said Larry Green, city administrator.
Authorities did not know the fire's cause.
A person answering the phone at the Jim Beam headquarters in Deerfield, Ill., could not provide further details.
Warehouse and distillery fires are typically devastating because of the flammable alcohol. In 2000, a fire at a Wild Turkey distillery in Lawrenceburg destroyed a seven-story warehouse that held nearly 1 million gallons of aging bourbon in 17,200 barrels.
More than 95 percent of the world's bourbon is produced in Kentucky, where it has been made since the 1780s. More than a half-dozen distilleries are in the region, including Jim Beam, Maker's Mark and Wild Turkey.

OY, such a waste! Me thinks a long straw to draw of some of the "flammable liquids" would've helped.

Since I've been here in Kenntucky, (HillBilly country and a Dry County!!) haven't caught a wiff of Beam. I've been told that the fish drank it all and went belly-up out on the river, but I haven't spotted any floaters, yet. Hey John, what's this I hear about a blues bar up your way?
