Title: can't leave FB and can't rejoin

Joseph Heller (author of Catch 22) must be turning over in his grave, probably laughing hysterically. It seems that you can't get rid of Facebook and you can't rejoin!   Many Are Abandoning Facebook. These People Have the Opposite Problem. (https://www.nytimes.com/2019/08/22/business/reactivate-facebook-account.html?searchResultPosition=1) Fortunately, I never joined and never will.

Just more proof of the dangers and/or problems of using software from those who only know you as data, not customers. I "closed" an account at FB several years ago, but I remember text to the effect that while my account was "closed" all my info/posts/data would remain on their servers until infinity plus ten days. They said they that was their policy so that people could always come back and contribute more [data] at any time in the future. It's amazing what some people will do for a small "hit" of dopamine. :WOW:
