Our Shetland correspondent is on her travels and, it seems, has been unable to post links to her latest adventures, so I'm posting them here.
Frances is taking her daughter Flossie to Bristol University where her daughter is doing a Masters degree in Chinese translation for a year. They chose to go for the 13.5-hour ferry to the Scottish mainland, followed by a two-day drive through Scotland and England. Most roads in Shetland are single-track with passing places...

Thanks! Been missing her. I have driven some of those one-track Scottish roads. It's an adventure.

Motor problems :sos:

awww, thank you Highmac. Appreciated.
Yup, life on the road. Not good. And now a dead car, which was terrifying as it died along the motorway.
Car is at the garage with an intermittent fault. I am probably taking my mother's car back so that has been to the garage and it was touch and go whether that would be ok. Apparently I can collect it tomorrow.
**** sigh **** - I need to get home! I miss my wee dug!

ONLY your wee dug? Bet the rest of your family will feel flattered...
