Title: Got tape?!
Post by: Xairbusdriver on March 11, 2021, 09:46:04 AM

We just lost the inventor of the cassette tape last weekend. Would the Apple ][ (or any of the other first PC's) have thrived without this invention?! :dntknw: Oh yeah, you could record music on those things...

Lou Ottens, Inventor Of The Cassette Tape, Has Died (https://www.npr.org/2021/03/10/975598869/lou-ottens-inventor-of-the-cassette-tape-has-died)

Several "artists" are mentioned that have used these kinds of media very recently. I've heard of two of them! :blush-anim-cl: :laughhard:

It was an astounding invention using a piece of wood for the mock up!! No word on the tree species. I suspect it was California Redwood which eventually lead to Big Sur. :scram:
