Post by: jb on August 11, 2003, 01:44:38 PM
I have: - QuickTime Player 6.0.3 - RealPlayer 6.0.4 - Windows Media Player 7.1.2
None of these open .asf or .wmv videos. Is (are) there other(s)?
I have partitions with OS 9.0.4 and 9.1.

Smiley helped me on this, as i saw .asf to. Asf can be played on Windows Media player, but you have to select it as an "open file" since it's a pathway to a streaming radio (online broadcasting). So, once downloaded it, open Windows Media player. Choose "open file", select the xxxx.asf file and than Windows Media Player will connect to a online broadcast (if it works well, and it might take a while. Not sure on the .wmv thing, although i think i saw it. Maybe others now

Thanks Mrious be and Giantmike.
Mrious be's suggestion of opening Windows Media Player and selecting "open file" did it.
