Since my iMac cannot go beyond Big Sur and I really don't want to get a new computer (read that as my better half gets into a panic at the thought of learning another OS), I am happy to report that Apple will continue to support Big Sur, among others. Apple issues release candidates for iOS 15.7.8, iPadOS 15.7.8, macOS Big Sur 11.7.9, and Monterey 12.6.8 (https://appleinsider.com/articles/23/07/18/apple-issues-release-candidates-for-ios-1578-ipados-1578-macos-big-sur-1179-and-monterey-1268)

Haven't received a notification on my Big Sur macOS 11.7.8 yet. We live in a "backwater" of the Mighty Muddy so we are usually at the back of the queue. :blush-anim-cl: Still using Catalina macOS 10 on the wife's MBP as well as my Mac mini weather monitoring machine.

That's because only the beta is available (for testing). You and I will receive notification when it's ready for prime time.
