Title: New Mac Book Air won’t open!

Just bought it a month ago. Every time I lift the screen it started up. Entered my password & it starts super fast. Love it. Til now. Today the same password does not work! Tried several times with & without power cable plugged in. I can’t get past the Home Screen which shows - date, time, wifi icon, battery percentage & password field at bottom.  Entering this text from my iPhone12
What to do?
(Apple Care is helping me with my other problems mentioned in previous threads. We still haven’t solved all that)

So, I hard powered it off. Then pushed button to restart. Password field came back.Entered password and everthing just started again. Whew! All good. What the heck just happened?

Sounds glitchy to me.  A restart usually solves all problems.
