I started using my new 2025 15" MacBook Air. For design work I use Font Agent Pro for font management. The Air also has Font Book. I think there may be some kind of font conflict in my emails. See attached. The text disappears in the Apple email window. Only shows boxes! Yet, it shows properly on the side bar, and when I open the email in a separate window, or when I Forward it. How to fix?

Two possibilities:
1. Copy and Paste
a. Copy the text of the message
b. Paste that into a TextEdit page
c. Hopefully that will enable you to read the message
2. Open the message in your ISP web mail site (iCloud/GoogleMail/Mindspring.com/etc.)
If you are able, ask the sender what font they used. You may then be able to install a (free) Mac version. If there is none or if it costs too much, ask if the sender can use a different, more common font.

Xairbusdriver, It's more than receiving email from others. Even when I send an email to myself this happens. Sometimes. Yet, when I FORWARD that email, all text works perfectly. When an email shows up as boxes, and I click on it to open it in a separate window, the text is fine. There is no consistency yet that I can find why it happens.

What are all your choices in the Mail Settings > Fonts & Colors?

Try checking the box "Use fixed-width font for plain text messages". Those will then use whatever choice you have selected (currently Menlo Regular 11) instead of some font the OS doesn't have installed. :dntknw:
You also might try 'standard' sizes; 10 or 12 instead of 11. At 82, I have no need for tiny font sizes! :p :blush-anim-cl:

Tried different font combinations. Tested them and found one that works. Much thanks! Again. :D
