Lately I keep getting the box to sign into "Imported Private Key" in the keychain while trying to reply to an email. This is only when replying to an email in the Yahoo account within Apple Mail. It doesn't happen in non Yahoo accounts in Apple Mail.
I've gotten into Keychain and tried every Yahoo connected password I could find. No luck. I deleted Yahoo from Apple Mail and added the account back in. It worked briefly and then reverted to this behavior.
Suggestions anyone? I can use Yahoo mail via the browser in the meantime. I just like having all my email accounts available in one location like Apple Mail.
Thanks!

I don't use Yahoo for anything so I have no idea about a 'legal' fix.
However, it might be a good idea to contact Yahoo as to the validity of that alert.
1. If you don't have a password labeled "Imported Private Key" (or Yahoo) in Keychain, entering your local user account password will not work.
2. The fine print is asking you to enter the password for your MacOS local user account. I seriously doubt you would have used that important password as a "key"/password for anything else. Ever!

OK, got into Keychain Access and found Imported Private Key. I added the Mail app to the access for Imported Private Key and I seem to be able to use Yahoo Mail normally within the Apple Mail app again.
An odd problem for sure but maybe the information will help someone if they run into something similar someday.
