George. For what it's worth.

A search on googlemac turned up pretty much nothing for this.

That says something. At the least it's not commonly used with macs.

Thanks Kelly, since my posting I've received an email from Sony saying that they do not, nor will they in the near future be supplying any software/support for the Mac in conjuction with this mini-disc player.
Nevertheless thanks for the links.
