This may be old hat for the techies, but the average day-to-day user might find this Word story from the BBC a bit unnerving. I don't use the program myself, but thought I'd pass this on. (Alastair Campbell, by the way, is Tony Blair's No 1 spin doctor - sorry, adviser).
The BBC technology page has lots of stories and links that are aimed at the average user as well as techies(including a good boost for Apple with an upbeat tale of G5 sales)

Hi,
I read about this some time back and again just yesterday..*grin...we runnin' in the same track here?
I was curious about what our company documents might be leaking so I downloaded Antiword yesterday. Seeing your topic here reminded me to install it and see what I could see.
Seems we're in good shape here, although I remember some time in the past where I've received word docs from other people that had strange data in the file properties.
The neat thing about Antiword for me is that it makes a very nice, presentable, readable plain-text file out of word docs. Great for stripping goofy stuff before formatting the text with HTML code.
