How do I import my NS 7.01 bookmarks (in OS 9.2.1) to Safari?
Why or HOW does Mail import 3776 mail messages from NS 7.01? This is EVERY message I've received since March! Including the 99 SoBig virus mails
that I know were trashed two days ago, every piece of junk mail, etc. that are/were trashed and no longer on the mail server.
Is it my imagination or is Jag "darker" than 9.2.1? After an hour using it, my eyes HURT. Resolution is same.

I never use netscape, so I can't help you there.
However, I can say that on Jaguar is no darker, but in fact sometimes brighter on machines that I have used both OS 9 and Jag with.

You can use Safari Enhancer to import bookmarks from most browsers including Netscape.

Jennie. Never noticed darker myself.
You might need to adjust Font Smoothing choice.
System Preferences > General
See if Font Smoothing is set to General: Best for CRTs
Not sure how much your Video Card affects this.
Also. As a speed tip.
System Preferences > Dock
Change from Genie Efffect to Scale Effect.
And uncheck Animate....
Should speed things a little.

Also. Set your Colors to Thousands if you haven't already.

Yep, yep, yep. Have now done all and downloaded Enhancer.
I must be doing something wrong......everything is working so smoothly.......I'm worried
in the dark here.

Jennie:
I sorta, kinda recall that when I first opened Safari, my Netscape addresses and bookmarks were already neatly stashed. I think I may have helped that process by first using NS' export commands to prepare the apppropriate transportation (my word) files (LDIF etc.) to make it easy for Safari.
Nevertheless, I was surprised. Safari, in this respect, seemed to work like Mozilla in doing all the heavy lifting without being asked.

Apple's mail rules and Safari is close to that status. I love them and Jag. I never will go back to those others.. NN
