Title: how to install OS9 app and update to OSX
Post by: csonni on February 26, 2003, 02:44:00 PM
I need to know how to install Adobe Acrobat 5.0 and then the 5.05 update which runs it on OS X.  Should I boot into OS9 first, install Adobe Acrobat and then boot into OSX and then install the update?  For some reason, I understand that OS9 apps should be installed when booted into OS9.  Or, can I just install it all while in OSX?

The single reason I keep OS 9 on my iBook is to install files through Classic (booted in X). It has always worked flawlessly, and that's what I suggest you do with Acrobat.

Booting into OS 9 is for sissies

IAWGM - well...maybe not the "sissies" bit   ...

But if I recall correctly, I just installed Acrobat from the CD and ran the update while booted into X on my Powerbook. I never boot the thing into 9....ever.
