Title: Moving Addresses
Post by: Himrich on February 27, 2003, 07:00:00 PM
I've managed to move my addresses from an old but OS 9 reliable Dynodex program to the Address Book in OS X. I saw a suggestion at the MW tips web site on using Palm Desktop as a go between. Now how can I get them into Entourage?

When I open Entourage and attempt an import I am presented with choosing either a program or a text file. If I choose the program route I can see that Palm Desktop is an option but when I choose it and navigate to the Palm User Data it is greyed out.  When I choose the second option, tab delimited text file that I exported from Dynodex, I get some data but not in the right format and for some reason it wants to add the first phone number listed in the database to every imported file.

When I export the data from Address Book in vcard format Entourage does even see it.

Why do they make it so difficult?

Himrich- I had the same problem.  I found a freeware app called something like Mail To Entourage- worked like butter.  I'm not at my Pismo right now, so I'm not totally sure on the name.  Any others who know?
