Hey kris, lOOks like it may be coming to a theater near you! B)

Just hope that the doggone thing won't hit us here on Cape Cod, cause when they do,,,,,,,, it is rather nasty.
I do watch all these weather URLs and they do such a great job of keeping us in the know.
Got the generator fueled up, boats out of water, secured all loose garden stuff. Hey, with all our preparation, Isabel will miss us!
Send it out to sea and away,,,,,

We're supposed to get high winds out of the mess- 5-15 inches of rain to
the shed that caught fire probably will go down in the winds- one less salvage job to do
Peace
Peter

Yeah, SB, we might get a taste of it. Harv is also in the path.
Hurricane Floyd did a job in central NJ four years ago with major flooding and two deaths. Certainly not the worst we've had but one town looked like a war zone afterward. That town (Bound Brook) was on the NY news tonight as they were talking about preparations for later this week. The reporter was already standing in a few feet of water from just a light storm that passed through this eve. The ground here is saturated from a lot of rain this spring and summer so whatever we get will run off and flood like crazy.
Worst hurricane to do damage to my property was Gloria in '85. Dropped a tree on my house. Luckily it hit the corner where the structure was strongest so it wasn't as bad as it could have been. I can still see that tree rocking back and forth heaving up out of the ground and finally going over.
I do love the 70' pines and 60' red cedars at opposite ends of my house but....

Get this kris, Jane is flying to Baltimore Friday morning. I guess she was disappointed that Isabel went north, so now she's chasing it!
....and she called me nuts for chasing tornadoes.......
I like storms, I get to dress up in Gortex and walk down the road with my chain saw without the neighbors trying to Baker Act me.
On rare occasions I get the truck & chain out and put it in 4WD and pull someone out of a ditch, oh fun!!
I like to go down to the beach and stand in the wind, leaning into it just enough to let it pick me up, it's like flying, with just a few pounds on the ground every once in a while.
-
Depending on timing Jane may have her flight delayed. If she's lucky it will have passed through before she is scheduled to land.
I like storms too, as long as they don't hit my house.

Gosh, guys and gals, take care of yourselves. okay. Saying prayers for you all.
-
All TV channels are on Isabel. Even the soaps got bumped.
You folks hang in there!!!!!!

I live about 22 miles NW of Washington, DC. The next 12 hours promise to be real exciting.

An interting picture of Isabel!

Well Harv lOOks like you were pretty much spared?
Blizzard type conditions without the cold?
I would guest the surge will make some impact around the Bay, but the Hurricane effects
have really diminished over Carolina and Virginia.
I wonder how Ruth's doing?

We're getting some rain and nasty wind gusts now and then but it's more like a Nor'easter than anything else.
A little while ago one of those train sounding wind gusts came through followed by a loud thump and my neighbor's car alarm going off.
Guess they may have to call the insurance co in the AM.
Hope that's all.
Hey Harv, how're you doing?
-
I'm waiting for it to get here in the morning...won't have much strenth left but it's gonna be a wet one.
-
Been seeing and hearing it on TV and radio news here. Hope everyone is OK.
