Title: G4 sound not so good
Post by: george on October 17, 2003, 02:47:48 PM
The internal sound (volume) from G4 (mirrored doors) has never  been terribly good whereas  on my G3 (beige) it is extremely good twice the volume.
Do I have a glitch somewhere? both volume controls are set at high.
ps
have no need for external speakers.....yet!

George,

I never could even get along with the internal sound of any computer. even my beige G3. Even the smallest of extenal speakers makes a world of a difference.

George, it could be that the speaker in your G4 is just no good.

If you've never heard your computer sound through powered speakers you're missing a great experience, IMHO.

As I type this message, I'm listening to a great radio station that broadcasts a signal that iTunes is streaming.

Thank you kind sirs for your advice.
I already have top quality speakers attached to my pc.
The point I was making is, how come a later version of a machine gives a poorer quality of sound than its predecessor.........it maybe as you suggest Brucie that the speaker in the G5 is in Anglo Saxon terms *£$@+_:"
