Title: Have you tried Smooth Scrolling in Panther?

It needs a lot of work, as far as I'm concerned. It's out of control!

What do you mean?
My scrolling is fine in browsers, apps, etc.

With smooth scrolling turned off, which it is the default setting, pages scroll as they always did before in Jaguar.

If I turn on smooth scrolling in the Appearance Preferences, the scrolling is spasmodic.

You are correct. Scrolling is fine for me, but turning it on makes it suck.

I noticed what you guys are talking about on the iBooks and G4, but on the G5, the smooth scrolling  is pretty cool. I'll probably keep it off because I like the response of the non-smooth scrolling, but it's certainly useable on a Dual 2GHz G5 (as it should be).

On my DP 800, I find it a bit jerky. Must be time to get a something faster. biggrin.gif
