Title: avalanche research and Macs
Post by: csonni on October 30, 2003, 07:02:48 PM
I have a friend on Labrador's North Coast who is doing (and has done) avalanche research.  He is inquiring about Apple computers and research software.  Number crunching, graphs, and GPS/map overlays is what he has on his agenda.  I will see what he can get in the Apple line for $2000 max., but I am unfamiliar with what type of programs are out there for such research.  Does anyone have any direction for me on this, and for my friend?

Don't know what science "avalanche research" falls under exactly.  huh.gif

FWIW. Canvas has added some new capabilities.
