About a LONG time ago, I posted a question on TS and received several replies, one of which was the answer that I was looking for. Since then I have had several hospital sessions and now am unable to remember the correct reply.
Using IE, there is a URL that returns IE in a different mode. I think it was something like "www://", but this is not working, so I must have it wrong.
It is possible that now I am on cable is causing the problem, I sure hope not.
Come on, let's have the thinking hat on, NOW!

The best way to track down your earlier post is to go HERE.
These are the archives of all threads from the first three years of TS. Most likely the question you asked is there.
Click on the SEARCH link at the top of the page and enter "Internet Explorer" in the subject and your old username in the member box. I tried it with bvjo but got no response, then I remembered that you used to have a different name but couldn't remember what it was.
Let us know if you find what you are looking for.

Lou : Is this the thread?
When we changed your name, the search pattern got a bit wonky

JEPINTO: Your thread is perfectly correct.
BUT; SNEAKERS had the answer I was looking for except that it was not a total reply. It did not indicate where the symbols should be inserted.
I have tried inserting it in IE as; www:// or www:/// and cannot access this URL.
Am using OS 9.2.2, but not as Classic.
Next try will be in Classic.

Lou, try "file:///" in the URL address window (without the quotations) at the top of the browser window and hit return. That should give you all partitions on your drive and access to anything you want to open.
Hope that is what you are looking for.
