Doing a Sherlock search for "font" on my machine I find there are several folders of fonts from different applications. Would it cause any (computer) problems if I moved some I need from, say, Adobe Photodeluxe, into the system fonts folder? And, although I guess it doesn't matter too much for private use, what is the legal position of using fonts from one app with another app? Is the use of the font licensed to the user or to the application? And any potential technical problems to watch for?
When I've clicked on some fonts they come up with a "drag this on to system folder" but I don't want to screw up the iMac (DV-SE, OS9.1, 640MB Ram).
Thanks in advance.

You can COPY the fonts to other locations, but don't move them. Hold the Option key and drag to where you want them, this will also leave them where they presently are, and needed by the apps that put them there.

Legally, fonts are licensed on a per-computer, not a per-application, basis. If you buy an application which includes fonts, you may use them with your other applications.

Thank you... practical AND legal info. I'll try it tomorrow - nearly midnight here...
