Welcome to TS, RonaldP!
Now, would that be one of those new 17" Powerbooks you are expecting?
Actually someone had a similar request just a little while ago; check out these suggestions:
what printer with X?

And another big Welcome, RonaldP!!
As a very long-time supporter of Epson printers, I really tried to find a 'photo' one I thought I'd be happy with. Long story, short, after months of reading/checking specs and print times, I ended up getting a Canon i850 for a whole lot less than an Epson would have cost and it spools and prints much faster. I read all the 'user reviews' on CNet [the pro review is terrible] and was convinced to give it a try. You can get it at Sam's Club for $148.xx including the USB cable which doesn't come with it otherwise. The Model # at Sam's has an 's' [i850s] after it which must refer to theirs only. Anyway, it's a great deal for a great printer and is compatible with Jaguar--I print in that OS all the time. You'll find ink for this printer at Sam's as well!!
You do have to be careful what kind of photo paper you use with it but that's true of any printer. Canon recommends Canon! I haven't used theirs yet but do use one of Red River's, Office Depot's 'Premium High Gloss Photo Paper' and Epson's Photo paper. All three work really well. I like the way the ink lays on the Red River Klondike paper the best but they're discontinuing that. Right now 100 sheets run $19.9x--a great buy!
Good luck to you and your choice as well as the blessed event that's about to happen!!

Hi Ron. I too have a Canon i850, newly purchased after seeing a demonstration of it at MacWorld Expo in San Francisco. it had come down to the Canon and an Epson c82 and the infor that finally swung my vote was the cost of ink. Canon has all the print makers beat, especially HP.
Nice to see you using this service. It is a great bunch of people, didn't i tell you?
