Iam looking for a PAR compression, uncompress program that will run in OS 8.5 or lower. I had a program a year ago that ran in 8.5 and 8.6 so I know one exists at one time. Does anyone know where I can download a copy of the program. I tried Tucows, CNET, and Pure-Mac sites and no luck. Found one at Tucows but it was for OS X. If anyone knows please post the download site.

Never heard of it before this.

Any of these sound familiar?

here is a link to the OS X version of the program:

I am looking for a version that will run in OS 8.5 or even 8.6 if I have to use that buggy OS.

Doesn't look hopeful.
"The only unRARing tool for OS9 is “MacUNRAR”. It’s now four years old, and few, if any, have been able to get it to work reliably. The tools for OS X work so smoothly that it’s not worth the struggle. Granted, only about 10% of the Mac user base has switched to OS X, but the only alternative, if you must work in OS 9 or below, is to use VirtualPC to run Windows in emulation."
