Hi,

I presume that keyboard cleaning is an old topic, nevertheless I would appreciate help.

Turn it upside down and tap on it.

Some people also use canned air to spray around the keys. smile.gif

BTW,  If you have any problems with your KB  ( ADB) ???
 Let me know. I've got about 25 of them sitting all  cleaned and ready for Any TS'r around.  N/C   Really.

I use an old paintbrush to knock loose things from around the keys. Of course I bought the brush just for that purpose. Hold the keyboard upside down or sideways and brush all of the junk out of it. Then I usually use alcohol, 409 or some sort of similar cleaner. Spray the 409 on a folded paper towel. Or Hold the paper towel on top of the alcohol bottle and turn it upside down. You are looking for it to be damp but not soaked and definitely not dripping.  Squeeze it out if it is too wet. Anyway I use the dampened towel to wipe off the top and sides of the keys.

Further to the above, best method I've found is to use Windex on a dishcloth - so that the cloth is damp, not dripping wet. Don't spray the keyboard directly though. You can do between the keys with the dish cloth wrapped around a table knife (as opposed to a sharp one!) Windex (or any generic window cleaner) is quite effective, since it contains ammonia, which will clean the inevitable oil/dirt accumulated on the keyboard from people's hands.  If you have one of those handy little vacuum attachments for electronics, you can use that too to get the dust out. Even a regular upholstery brush attachment will probably work. Tough dust bunnies may require a bit of fishing around under and between the keys with a straightened paperclip.

Bernie, your offer is truly generous but I suspect that postal charges from the USA to Switzerland would be not inconsiderable - and at present (fingers crossed) my keyboard is OK. Each time I begin a session I ask myself "How much longer?"
