Title: .pcx file ?
Post by: george on February 01, 2003, 02:24:00 PM
I requested my ISP to close my account, the reply gave me the required instructions.
Included in the reply were three attachments which have pcx file endings.
On opening them up pops the graphics converter (Lord only knows what that is)  asking if I would like to change all future file of this kind! The three attachments (as far as I can make out are three small empty windows.
Am I as dense I as I think I am!.
George.

GraphicConverter is now bundled with the MacOS for the convenience of changing graphic formats as well as other uses in altering photos, etc.

It was asking you whether you wanted that program to be the default graphics program for opening such files in the future. It will also ask whether you want it to open downloaded files and so forth. It is probably the most valuable application for crossplatform graphics use as it can translate dozens of file types. You could have converted that file into a PICT, TIFF or JPEG for use on your Mac.

Thanks Krissel,
I'll try and backtrack and arrange to save them as jpegs and thanks for furthering my Mac education which in the Winter of my years is painfully slow.
