Title: Your opinions on PCM Firewire cards

Has anyone used one of the PCM Firewire cards with a  Powerbook?  Good or bad??  Your thoughts.  thanks

I've had a NewerTech FireWire 2 Go card for a couple years and it works fine with my Wallstreet.

Just note that you can't boot from a firewire drive with these cards as the system loads before the card is recognized. Also recommend that an external drive be externally powered as the older PBs aren't set up to power through the ports as the newer PBs are.
