DUNE, the original book, was  (and is) my all time favorite.
When the movie came out a client (a local radio station) gave me a couple of tickets to the primere. I very seldom have time for movies or TV but I couldn't wait for this one....
and was thoroughly disappointed.    
A total waste of time...for me at least.

I would like to see these new efforts, but had my cable taken out. Too tempting to watch instead of work.

There's always a few minutes a day for TS though.

Yeah Gary. There was way too much David Lynch in that movie.  

You might find the other movie to rent. Or just buy the DVD.
