Please tell me it's April 1. He invented the internet, next he'll be taking credit for inventing the Apple in his garage.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Just discovered, the graemlins don't say their name any longer, just "java script:void(0)". Can that be fixed?

I just hope they haven't lost a box with votes when the Apple board voted on his assignement

You know, funny thing about that "He invented the Internet" deal.
Al Gore never said he invented the Internet. What he said was that he helped get funding for the next-generation of Internet services and Internet domain management through Congress. A few select Republicans distorted his quotes in a mass-broadcast fundraising FAX to wealthy donors to the Republican Party, and it went crazy from there. Soon, everybody was saying "Look at Al Gore, he says he invented the Internet!"
If you look at the reality, that's not what happened at all. It's a tribute to the strength and power of the political spin machine that so many people believe he said it, though.

If he helps run Apple like they ran the country, Apple is in trouble! At least Gore shows some morels?

Not often that I disagree with tacit, however...
quote:
...It's a tribute to the strength and power of the political spin machine that so many people believe he said it...
I'm afraid it is more an indication of how little individual thinking goes on with many in our country. It may be a corollary to the statement that "we often see what we want to see." I think we often "believe what we want to believe," regardless of what the facts may be.

David's post is absolutely correct. Al Gore does show many of the same signs as one of several edible brown fungi with a highly pitted surface cap - to quote from Merriam Webster's Collegiate Dictionary.

OMG...Apple's in trouble. I just read a report on the financial health of Apple the other day...and the outlook for 2003! It looked very bright...now I am not so sure!

Crazy Apple Rumor's take. Amusing.

I have an ongoing all-in-fun-put-down-the-other-guy's-'puter debate going on with a PC tech friend of mine.
Example...when I put the Apple decals on my Jeep, he commented that it was a good thing it still had windows or it might cause me problems...And when he has to leave the party because the company's machines are down, I just shake my head and >sigh<.
This Al Gore thing got him 10 points up on me.
