Finely saw one at the local Apple dealer.
They're so .... nice/cool .... would an understatement.
Thin, sleek with that clean organized port placement look.

The only possible draw with some folks could be the space between the front and where the keyboard keys start. Of course the reason that space is there is .. well until Apple figures out a way to 'fold' that monster screen when closing, the space is there to stay.
Suppose they could of moved the keyboard more centered or enlarged it. Yet while I was typing away on it,I found that space a sort of resting spot for your palms/wrist instead of hanging over the edge.
Even the built in speaker system wasn't half bad.
I actually had to take a hard look to see where the cd/super was. One Soooo tiny slot on the front right.

Is it worth the three thousand dollars plus?
NOT this kids money! For that kind $$$s,I'd want to see some real hardware.!. Like tires, steering wheel, trailer hitch. <g>

I just love that blue backlit keyboard!

However, if I was to buy a G4 PowerBook now, I'd probably not buy a 17", but a 12", because of the size. 17" is great, no doubt, but it's rather a portable desktop than a laptop.

Too bad that the 12" model does not have that cool keys.

People seem to like them mostly.

Though I don't know about:

"I've had the PowerBook for over a week now and as I've grown fond of  saying, this thing is sexier than Selma Hayek stepping out of a brand  new Porsche Carrera GT and handing me the keys. O.K., Not quite, but  close."

Almost exactly my response to a PC friend who said he wanted to see the thing after I bought one!

OTOH, I recently unplugged the ole 520c for the last time and my wife asked if I was interested in a new laptop.    Wonder what she expects?!
