Title: What MPEG-X will QuickTime 6 decode and run?
Post by: MamaMoose on April 01, 2003, 11:09:00 PM
I have Quicktime 6 on my OS 9.2.2 Mac. Sometimes when I try to download a Quicktime movie, I get an error message that reads something like "Can't run this clip. Quicktime is missing some components".

By the way, downloading a clip is not the problem - playing, about 10% of the time is the problem.

Does anyone kinow what is missing? Will QT decode mpeg-4?

Thanks,

MamaMoose

MPEG-4 should be readable with QuickTime i think.
Here's some information:
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/products/

Quicktime updated a while ago, to version 6.1, and just now it updated to 6.1.1.
This is a small update in number, but still the update is more than 19Mb (on OsX).
Maybe this is worth trying?

Hope it works
