Thanks for the reminder, Bill...I would have forgotten for sure.
...and don't forget "I before E except after C, or when sounding like A, as in neighbor and weigh"...or is it the other way around?...Don't quote me on this.
Fall Back..Spring ahead?...Spring Back...Fall forward?...Fall down...Spring break?...Break a leg?
Starve a cold?...Feed a cold?...Starve a mold?...Feed a Toad? Feed a Beaver?
-
And what are you guys on tonight... HUH???...
Thanks for the reminder...
-
You guys are sooo behind! We turned our clocks forward an hour last weekend. Good to see you finally catching up to the rest of the world.
-
"Feed a Beaver?"
That reminds me of the time my son was in 3rd grade.
They were studying our state history of Wisconsin.
As I was helping him with his homework he asked, "Dad, do Catholics still not eat beaver on Fridays?"
I guess that Jean Nicolet and the boys enjoyed Beaver.
-
I remember now..It's "Eat a BEAR and feed a beaver".
-
Got that right, Snuffy! See today's local paper, the Eagle Tribune.
This thread is turning into something like one of those word association games....
-
We put the clock back a week ago... what kept you so long?
-
Mb,
We didn't know what time it was!
Been working most of the day helping clear up some of the bushes and briar patches on our churches new property. We have a couple of free beavers for the taking! Didn't see any bears. And the only snake had gotten caught in the plastic netting used to hold down the straw and grass seed on some newly moved dirt.
As for setting the clocks back and forth, it usually takes only one time of getting to church just as everyone else is leaving (in the Spring) or having to wait an hour for everyone else to get there (in the Fall) to make that a permanent part of ones memory bank!
-
No need! I never change my.......... time.

Are there any other US places besides pieces of AZ and IN that "choose" not to?
HI has good reason . . . latitude.
I guess in IN and AZ it's . . . attitude!
-
I wish IA didn't...It's really not necessary IMHO.
Just another burden on my already disfunctional internal clock.
-
Never guess what forgot to do.

Hehehehe as for the person who started this topic
How many people has their clock on puter connected to a timeserver?
Mine is connected to one in Germany so it switches time automaticly.
It's easy and i'm always sure to have the correct time at my beloved computer.
-
Bill, Bill... Bill,
What are we gonna do with you?
Marcel... my 'puter changes automatically too... it's every other thing... still gotta go around and change the TV, the VCR, the stove, the microwave... dunno how many clocks and watches around the house...
It's a nuisance!

Anybody know how to set the clocks in a cat and dog? Both cats wanted out an hour earlier and had to walk the dog an hour earlier; needless to say I had to get up an hour earlier, and on a Sunday to boot? J'ai eu mon voyage!
Well at least it's sunny and the 20+ cms (5 in.) of snow that fell yesterday has begun to melt, maybe Spring will really arrive soon!
From the True North strong and free!

Je suis désolé, je ne sais pas Johan... mais mon chien a voulu un repas supplémentaire déjà aujourd'hui... et la maison entière est confondue.
(Sorry, I don't know but my dog has already wanted an extra meal today... and the whole house is confused)
I've heard a robin singing this year already, so maybe it bodes well for a timely spring... they were late last year.
Et ouais, Le Vrai du nord Fort et Libre!
-
Got a dog door. Both dog and cat let themselves out.
Most clickers here are auto also except for a vcr or two.
Thought I got/checked everything till I looked at my wrist watch. Whoops. <gr>
pssst ... DB,did ya do it to it with the underwear?

[QB]Got a dog door. Both dog and cat let themselves out.
Well I did consider a dog/cat door once, but the wife reminded me of the -25C weather we get here and that maybe snow might get in; and as I pay the heating bill I chucked that idea!
Bien pensé mais pas de tout practique! Et c'est ton tour DB!

Amen.
Only good thing is I'll have an extra hour of light to run the snowblower tomorrow, er, later today.
-
Johan...
Oui, mais tu dois te souviens d'où Bill habite, il ne va jamais au dessous soixante degrés Fahrenheit, alors c'est éminemment practique pour lui d'avoir une porte pour les chats et chiens...
(Yes, but you have to remember that where Bill lives, it never goes below 60 degrees F. so it's eminently practical for him to have a door for the cats and dogs... )
Bill... Turned them inside out?? ooohhh NO... how groady!! P.S. if that's spelled wrong I ain't no "valley girl", I only pretend!
-
Johan,
I forgot that your up there with DB.
She's right about the temps down here. I start complaining when it hits 50f. <gr>
There isn't a "valley girl" alive that has your looks or brains Dream.
OH! Wait! One exception .... their down here soaking up the rays while your up there freezing your tush off. <gr>
-
Don't feel so badly, Bill. It's confession time
A week ago (3/29) having persuaded myself that the 30th was the onset of DST (absent, it should be reported, any reference to hard data other than my head!) I went around that evening and carefully changed each of the 28 clocks throughout the house and garage.
Of course, up came Sunday morning, the 30th, and I discovered the error of my ways, Now, I think being a week early is a lot more stupid than being a day late . . certainly it was a lot more work

Set to tock.usno.navy.mil here, MB.
Helps keep me from guessing.
Take care.

OK... about living up here: in my finest Victoria voice... "It not my fault... "
So I'll take that as a compliment Bill...

Being an "EX" Hoosier, I can state that Indiana chose NOT to change the clocks for fear of having the extra hour of sunlight burn their grass!
