... myself to the USA?
This is what i know myself, so far:
• I can only get a 6 month touristic visa.
• During that, i can look for work, when i find any, i can stay in USA as long as i work AND my employer has to accept the fact that he's some kind of Foster over me... if he doesn't do that... well than i don't have the job and can't say, hehehe
• While working i can apply for a Green Card but this is even harder than it ever was these days (i can't be mad about that, it's only normal).
• I can join the Lottery for a "free" Green Card but... it's not really free (have to send money on applying) and it can still take yeaaaaaars IF i ever get granted with a Green Card.
I actually already applied, but didn't send money yet since i don't have to much at the moment.
All of this tells me it's really hard to get to the USA to live there... legally
I was just thinking i might spread this on TS, since most of you are living in USA and some of you might have a little more info, or websites for me?
Would sure like to hear them
Again, thx already for the help.
P.S. Going back to Boston between 1th and 15th March.

Thx Jennie
I did had the INS website before (i think that's how i fill in the Green Card lottery earlier... or at least a link on their site) but now i added it to a special folder.
I'm planing on tracing this topic, and put all the url's provided in a folder.
The third url from INS, you gave me isn't really applicapable (or however you write that?)
Cause she's living there already... studying that is.
Her sis though lives there and works but even she has still a hard time applying for green card.
Thx already

Well, you could go on "vacation" in Mexico and just walk across the border and become one of the millions who are here enjoying our free society. The town where I worked actually employed someone whose job was to follow children home from school to see how many lived in one location. One house had 13 children from 5 families in a single family home. Most were illegal immigrants. It really has made a mess of the school system's budget.
Or, Marcel, I could adopt you. That might work.

Hahahaha
Never saw that movie actually
Hmmm, "marry an american"... but.... she's Danish, just studying in Boston
I don't think she will like me marrying a American
-
hmm why would you think that she wouldnt want that, mrious_be, you marry an american????
that actually sounds really funny to me.

Hahahaha
Is Smiley digging up topics from me? huh?
Now who's the one feeling paranoid... or lol
Well, theoretical, i could marrie an American girl and than divorce her.
But than i have to pay her money every month (how is this called?), and maybe she will sue me over all i have (wich isn't much, but still) or get a PI to track my *ss down and he will start taking pictures of us.
Than we end up in the newspaper and a wide spread public amazingness will spread out.
We will be responsible for major riots on city halls and panic will rull the streets....
I don't think you want that? do you?
Hmm, i guess... in that case we can still move to Belgium
