I would like to set up another email account (too much spam on the old one!), and my ISP (PC guy only!) said he set it up at his end. Now I have to do it on my end, but I have no idea what to do.
Can you walk me through it exactly, puleeese?
(I would like use BOTH emails (the old and new) for a while).

Exactly... not me... but on outlook it isn't to bad (i did it to).
The thing is, i'm on OsX for a while now so i can't really help you step by step anymore.
But it's not that bad, somewhere there should be an option "accounts" on your menubars (i think it is pretty hidden, or not really logical... but it's there).
From there, you do need your "usersname" and "password".
As it's the same provider it seems, you already have your "mail-in" and "mail-out" servers.
My suggestion, start from a copy and just rename the mailbox and change your "username" and "password".
Hope others can give you step by step instructions

Open up OE, then in your menu bar go to Tools/Accounts/New. Then a setup assistant will appear to take you through it. You'll need your username, password, incoming mail (POP) server and outgoing mail (SMTP) server. Then you should be good to go.

Thanks.
Did what you suggested. Now I have two accounts set up, but...
Can I retrieve BOTH emails from my one IN Box whenever, or do I have to go to the Accounts menu and click on each of the two accounts each time I need to collect email? (I hope that query makes sense)
I sent myself an email to my old and new address. I only received one at the old address. Don't know how to find the new address one. ( I hope that makes sense, too! ;-) )

Couldn't swear to it, but I believe you have to click the "Send & Receive" button and pick the user whose mail you want to access. I don't know of a way for mail from 2 distinct users to appear at the same time.

I've sent an email to my new address and had a friend do the same. They don't bounce back, but I haven't received them. Where are they?
I went into Accounts window, where two account names are listed. When I click on one account name, it tuns into a Bold font and says DEFAULT. Either way I click on the two names, I still receive only email to my OLD address.
How do I get email to my NEW address?
I'm open to your suggestions!
Thx.

Kind of a head scratcher now. Seems like something may be retrieving the mail and pulling it off the server on you, especially since the mail appears to be getting through and not bouncing back to the senders. Possibly the default user is taking over for some reason. Does your ISP allow more than one mailbox/user? They must if you've already cleared things through them. Let us know how you make out.

Raven. Is your e-mail name the same or have you changed that?
Just setting up two accounts won't change that.

Kelly,
I had my ISP set up two email accounts - eg. Raven@x
and 2Raven@x.
The two Accounts I set up in OE have these two different email addresses listed.
Any other ideas?

Still need some help here, please.

Raven. Did you list your new e-mail in your new account?

I think Send and Receive All should check both accounts.
