The picture name and extention is grayed, so they can see the picture name but can not select it.

.

1. Did you save the images with the file extensions?Yes
2. What format did you use? jpg, tif, psd
3. What program are you using to burn the disks? Disc Burner
4. What is the PC-user seeing when they attempt to open the files? They can see the cd and file names
Are they coming up as if they are text files? NO
5. Have they tried opening the files from within a program (rather than just clicking on them)? Yes

2003 / PC Can't read my Pic CDs

I have burned a cd for a client containing 6 pictures in three different file formats,  .jpg, .tif, and .psd. They can't open these pictures. They at least should be able to open the jpgs. I have made two cds (different brands) and have had more than one person try to open them with no success. I'ver never had this problem before. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

2003 / Force quit is Deadly
« on: March 09, 2003, 08:43:00 PM »
Hi All,
I'm am so used to using the Force Program Quit = apple+ option +esc keys, to force a locked up program that I can't seem to remember to stop using it.

I had to initalize my hard drive at Apple Tech's  suggestion. I had everything backed-up and lost no information, just put back the programs and files, but not the old operating system. I now have a few bugs  I can't over come. One being the force quit command. If I have a program that is locked up (everthing else is ok) and I use the above mentioned key combination the entire computer is then locked up. Dead as a door nail until restarted. I'm clueless on how to fix this. Any sugesstions?

2003 / DVDs Will Not Play - Sometimes1
« on: March 04, 2003, 02:23:00 PM »
Thanks for the feedback Kelly. This is really a wonderful site. I tried the command option i with these troublesome dvds and it did not work, same message. So odd that 3 out of 4 dvds in the pack play and one doesn't . If anyone else care to chime in please feel free.
Thanks again.

2003 / DVDs Will Not Play - Sometimes1

I have been buying the newly released volumes of Dark Shadows. (No comments here I love'em!) They come 4 dvds to a set. I  now have 4 sets. There is always one in each box that will not play. It is stated that the dvd is unreadable and wants to initialize it. The others are fine and play well. These non playing dvds will play in my standard Sony DVD player.

I am playing these on a G3 powerbook with an it's original player. OS9. Other dvds play A-OK. I don't think there is anything I can do to make them play, I am just courious.
'Thanks
