2004 / Mail

I am on 10.2.8 and my provider is Comcast. I am unable to retrieve my mail. I am using the mail that is on my computer. I am able to get mail when I go on the web site Comcast.net but it doesn't show up when I log into my computer and go to the dock and hot mail. It seems I stopped getting mail on December 10th. Could I have a corrupted e mail that isn't letting me get other mail ? Thanks.

2003 / Internet Connection

I am using Internet Explorer 5.2 This problem doesn't happen on one particular web site or every time I go on the internet, but it happens enough to where I thought it might be a problem. The page I go to simply doesn't download... the multi color disc appears, keeps going and going, and I know I have to force quit and go back to that page. When I go back to that particualr web site it usually works. It's happened on latimes.com, ebay.com,  and some others I just haven't kept track. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

2003 / Internet Connection

I have Jaguar 10.2.8 and sometimes when I connect to the internet I have this rainbow looking disc that keeps spinning and never allows me to connect to the web site I want to go. I have to force quit and start over again.  Thanks in advance.

2003 / Monitor went black and white

I have a G3 and am running Jaguar 10.2.8. My infant daughter accidently started hitting the keyboard this morning and the monitor went black and white. When I re-start the computer everything looks fine. On the log-in page it has that nice blue. However when I put in my password my monitor then turns black and white, almost like an x-ray. When I log in under my wife's password there is not a problem. All colors are fine all the way around.

I have already gone under system preferences and changed my display to millions and it only accentuates the black and white and turns the colors a little deeper color. As I am writing this, the page in front of me is black and the writing is white. Thanks for the help.

2003 / Can't open IPhoto

We've been working with IPHOTO and somehow cannot open the pictures now... I see it on the computer and have backed it up but it simply now won't open.

2003 / AOL Attachments

I will take it from here... I have been sending phots thru IPhoto... and most people have been able to open up the pics... but a few friends have not... and they all seem to be on AOL... however until recently I was on AOL and I never had trouble opening up JPEG files from others... thanks for the help

2003 / Sloooow Limewire/ITunes

We have a G3 Blue and White.  We are not running any other apps at all while using Limewire and ITunes.  It just seems to be thinking and thinking and never does anything...all of this starting happening when we installed a external 60 GB hard drive.

Our Limewire/ITunes is running real slow... so slow in fact that I can't even download songs anymore... I try and then the multi-colored circle keeps going and going and nothing ever happens... I don't have a lot of songs downloaded and I even just installed an extra 60 GB hard drive... anuy help would be appreciated

Archive and install.

Everything is still on the HD just none of my settings or updates. Is there a way to copy them all over from the Previous System?

I did a bad thing. I tried to do a reinstall of OS X and now I've lost all my library settings etc and the reinstall did not even fix the little problem I thought I had.

Please tell me there is a way (as in OS 9) to go back to the previous folder and make it the boss.

I'm timed constrained today so hope someone can get back to me quick.

2003 / Jaguar/Classic Printing Issue

I have Jaguar and had to download a driver from Gimp-Print to print... but now I cannot print on Classic...I am trying to print a document from Adobe Pagemaker 6.5... is there any way to be able to print both Jaguar and Classic ? Thanks

2003 / OSX Hard Drive Space

What I'm hoping to do is put the amount of free space on my desktop right under the Macintosh HD... I have a G3 and it still says 6 GB... I'd like for it to show how much actual space I have. Thanks

2003 / Apple Works Books

Anyone have a reccommendation on which book to get to learn more about Apple Works... there's Apple Works 6 "The Missing Manual" by Jim Elferdink & David Reynolds... and also the Bruce Presley book titled "Introduction to Computing Using Apple Works Version 6 for Macintosh"... thanks.
