Are you getting a certain error message when you have the saved iMovie file on the external and you try to import it? I've imported to an external drive this in the past with no problem as well.

No, there's no message the importing just works with hickops and then stops

How can I use a network drive for my movies?
I tried to do that but the camera refuses to import to the ext. When I use the internal there's no problem. Of course I can put the there but I want to work on the ext. so that I don't have to move the movies around.

2007 / itunes library on a network drive

Trying to get my WD netcenter to use as my library for itunes.
You can of course choose this location and copy your library to the ext. drive but it doesnot work.
On reopening iTunes the library is not loaded and a new library is made on the internal drive (even if you deleted it first).
so is it possible or?
