JEPINTO: Your thread is perfectly correct. clap.gif  clap.gif

BUT; SNEAKERS had the answer I was looking for except that it was not a total reply. It did not indicate where the symbols should be inserted. doh.gif

I have tried inserting it in IE as; www:// or www:/// and cannot access this URL.
Am using OS 9.2.2, but not as Classic. oops.gif

Next try will be in Classic. unsure.gif

About a LONG time ago, I posted a question on TS and received several replies, one of which was the answer that I was looking for. Since then I have had several hospital sessions and now am unable to remember the correct reply. Thinking.gif wallbash.gif

Using IE, there is a URL that returns IE in a different mode. I think it was something like "www://", but this is not working, so I must have it wrong.verysad.gif

It is possible that now I am on cable is causing the problem, I sure hope not. upset.gif

Come on, let's have the thinking hat on, NOW! thanx.gif

2003 / OT: Photo Challenge - Selfportrait...
« on: October 30, 2003, 05:06:16 PM »
For those interested the process used to make this image was done many, many years ago, when I had the use of a 500 mm mirror lens.

I had learnt early on that in positive film, the white, when overexposed becomes transparent. SOoo, using a white background with a hole in it to frame my face, made a self portrait using a timer.

Then cutting a white circle that fit in the lens face, took my picture in a mirror, the camera lens face becoming transparent.

next taking both images and sandwiching them resulting in the image seen here.

Remember this was done so many years ago, it was a great deal for an early camera buff.

Well I finally got the Pacific Digital CD/RW 16X10X40 in a sealed new package. Included was a Toast 5.2 CD.

Installed and operated excellently. Copied other CDs perfectly. Copied 6 Itunes purchased from Apple.

It has backward capabilities for USB1 which is the ports on the Emac.

I think that I have made a good deal. whew.gif  clap.gif  WOW.gif

2003 / New Mac/Old Scanners
« on: October 29, 2003, 05:55:48 PM »
Well, I got an Adaptec USBXchange. Installed same. BUT......

the Agfa Scanner requires a terminator when used alone, when I used it prior to USB, a terminator was only required at the end of SCSI chain.

So the terminator I have is a 50 pin unit and the scanner requires a 25 pin unit.

Spent several hours looking for this unit, went to Fry's, CompUSA and a local store. None of them had it. Finally found it at Northwest Computer Accesories in Oregon. Ordered it, should have it by the wekend!

Then wish me LUCK.

Here in San Diego City North, we've just got past by the skin of our teeth!
The fire line was visible from our kitchen windows, not more than 5 miles. WOW.gif

Wish all those nearby that got caught in the firestorm all the best that one can wish for in times like this.

I received a new offer from the EBay seller mentioned previously.

He has Pacific Digital CDRW 16x10x40 USB, new, offered in exchange for the unit purchased over a year ago.

He guarantees it will work on my Emac but a little slower because it is a USB2 and the Emac has USB1 ports.

Would like to hear comments about this exchange.

Have Minolta QuikScan 35 Plus (SCSI) (35mm film)
Also Agfa SnapScan 1236 (SCSI)  (flatbed)

New Emac does NOT have SCSI ports.

Tried Belkin Adapters USB/SCSI model F5UO15, but it does NOT work.

Tried Belkin Adapters Firewire/SCSI model F5U541, it also does NOT work.

Other than having to buy new scanners, any ideas or suggestions. wallbash.gif  wallbash.gif  wallbash.gif

TACIT. thanks for the info but it does not work for me.

Forwarding the Email includes all the text, including the attachments, but not the images.

I have to add an instruction for the reader to double click on each of the attachments to see the images.

I have been collecting Emails about same subjects, then sending them out as one larger Email, thereby reducing amount of mail. But those with images are problems.

Any other ideas or suggestions. wallbash.gif

Using Outlook Express (latest version)
I wonder if anyone can tell me why when forwarding an email that has an image in it, the image is not forwarded.
Or why an email with a link to another site, the link does not work when forwarded.
OR.........
I save an email that I received in a folder I call "HOLD".
Later I open that folder, highlite that email message. click on copy.
Open a new email, click paste, and all the message is now in the new outgoing email, BUT......
the link does not work, and the image is missing.
What am I doing that is not correct.
