HELLO PADDY & Welcome. It has been quite some time since I visited TS and I just hoped ya'll would still be here. It has been even quite a while longer since this domain was visited (years and years) so please bear with me.

URL is elliff-legal-med.com. Static ??, created with the mac web builder iWeb I think. My one and only web page.

PHP??.

I was unable to access the Cpanel (cockpit problem probably)

Yes get the big red warning.

I have not looked to see if the IP is blacklisted.

She has 3 emails and cannot send from any of them.    brenda@elliff-legal-med.com, "server setting cp02 machighway.com",  yahoo, icloud.

She has basically retired and does not really need or want the web page, but over the years has accumulated  many  sites requiring e mail id for access.

any and all input is gratefully appreciated.

Tech / e mails and blocked server

About 14 years ago I created a domain for SWMBO at GO DADDY. For what ever reason, a few years later I moved it to MAC HIWAY, and pretty much forgot about it because it worked. What’s the problem?

Over the years with numerous computer acquisitions  and software upgrades, all of a sudden she is unable to send emails from any of the 3 or 4 email accounts which are apparently all pointed to the domain’s c panel server.

Chat with Machiway reveals that Google has designated this domain  hacked and is “Dangerous” and blocked it.

SWMBO has basically retired, however has MANY sites that uses the domain’s email ie: B***@domain.com as “user id”, which needless to say makes her VERY unhappy.

The provider MH indicates that a complete wipe is one solution. ( I ThINK I have the original files sent to them many years ago). So far I have not decided what to do. I am looking for ideas.

Paddy you still live here???

WHY WHY WHY!!!!!!

The years just keep going on.(better than the alternative)interests change, however our abode just keeps growing apples. MY primary faithful 2011 MBP just flat ran  outta gas, so I  bit the bullet and acquired a refurb MBAIR M2. swmbo questioned: did I really need to do that???  This  is from the gal that basically is retired and presently claims ownership of the following:
2017 Mbair
iPad 8th gen (yesterday sold an iPad mini 4th gen on marketplace)
iPhone 13
Watch 5

Of course not  to be outdone, I have not drawn a paycheck from anyone but Uncle Sam(skimpy as it is) for about 25 years, however being a Mac addict since about 1986, my list consists of:

2019 27" iMac
2023 M2 MBAir
2011 MBP (resting and awaiting official retirement and burial)
iPad 8th gen
iPhone SE

The good news is all are current with ios or mac, or as up to date as possible.
Each accomplishes every chore asked of it. Not so much these days.
The bad news is virtually all are grossly under utilized as to their capability.(except her iPhone)

OHH Well.

Have not been here much the last couple of years, so my signature was almost invalid. I will keep checking in.

Well, father time  has been nipping at the old 2011 MBP for a while, and it finally chewed off a large enuff hunk that it required some LONG overdue action.  There have been several issues which we have managed to work around  however when our bank stop supporting Safari unless it was upgraded to  version 15 something had to be done. Upgrade to what?? I found an absolutely premo 2019 reconditioned 27 inch iMAC 3 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i5, at an unbelievably  low price on Amazon, which will probably last longer than I will. The jump from OSX 13 to Monterey was/is a very large leap

OSX 15.2 WHAT AN EYEOPENER and shock. After about 3 days, using Migration Assistance, plus a thumb drive, etc, finally got the new guy working similar to what we were used to with the old guy, however my entire iTunes music library (geriatric era personified) is apparently gonzo. Won’t play. (Still available on the iPhone6 and iPad)Thankfully the photo library modified to play and the bank is happy. Since SWMBO is no longer traveling the computer requirement has decreased significantly. Office 2016, and Photoshop 6  are apparently  history, (no problem, alternatives will suffice if required) Time marches on.  :)

My 2011 MBP is really starting to show its age (much like its owner), however SHMBO's 2015 MB AIR is still purring right along (just like its owner) Catalina 10.15.7. Serious consideration given to a refurb MBair to replace it. She asked why don't I consider just creating a new user on her mbair and move all my "STUFF" over. Couldn't think of a good reason not to. Any ideas about the pitfalls should I go that route. There is plenty of disk space I think. How about e mail??

Well, that is interesting.  The box was checked. Unchecked it no joy. Relaunched Safari, box unchecked still no joy. HOWEVER the site works IF I toggle the "check/uncheck" box while Safari is attempting  to open the site. I have tried it several times and it is consistent. Restarted and it is still consistent. Does not matter if it is checked or unchecked the website does not open on the initial attempt.

My financial websites are not having any issues with Safari 15 and Big Sur. Is the problem only with a specific site? If so, might it be conflicting with any extensions that you have? To  test this, disable extensions via the Develop menu when you access that site. If the Develop menu is not showing, you can enable it via Safari > Preferences > Advanced. The check box to show Develop in the menu bar is at the bottom of the window.

Thx, Will give that a shot.   So far there is only one site she has complained about. (Unfortunately she does not have that many financial sites to visit.) :laughhard:

Daryl

Jon:  No Joy. Disabled extensions.  Still not able to log into the website. Not a total disaster as there is a plan "B" which does work.

I just spotted this: Apple delivers Safari 15.1 beta for macOS Big Sur and Catalina I have no other information about any changes to Safari.

SWMBO's  Safari 15 Catalina, started having issues with a particular financial website. No issues with Firefox and my old OSX High Sierra.  I chased around the various forums and Apple support sites trying what solutions were discussed with NO help. Decided to wait until 15.1 or at least until Monterey settles in and hope the gremlins go away. :wallbash:

Took a look.  Clicked on the "pro version" 4.4   listed there are the "Pros and Cons"   The only entry under "Cons" stated        "Does not support creating a bootable version of your hard drive"

As the worm turns.  All true.  Howsumever  when I wiped the iPad it's next destination  was unknown. When the BIL raised his hand the ONLY app he wanted was Kindle. He does not have a clue what apps are connected with my id, nor will he ever. Should he decide (very doubtful) to acquire ANY app he will have to use his own id and password. I feel confident the worm will stay in its hole forever.

Well the good news is: One of the first things we did was to create him an apple id.  It was with this id the original attempt to download the Kindle app failed due to it's requirement of  IOS 12. I think the worm can has been avoided. :whew:
