2004 / Disabling/enabling Safari cache

I have long used Safari Enhancer to disable the cache, but now I am curious; in Safari 1.2, should the cache be enabled even with a high speed Internet connection (currently over 3.3 Mbps)?

2004 / How can I boost a wireless LAN network signal?

My school has a wireless LAN network set up and while most rooms receive a fairly strong signal, the office I am in seems to be in an area of poor reception. Can I simply plug in a wireless broadband router (D-Link, Linksys, Netgear, etc.) into the ethernet port in this office to boost the signal to our AirPort-equipped laptops?

2003 / Problems installing printer driver in Classic

Great idea. . .  I should have thought of that!  Unfortunately, after trying it and installing, OS 9 froze. . . as near as I can tell, something called the HP Inkjet Engine caused the freeze. Uninstalled everything, reinstalled, but, als, the same results.

2003 / Problems installing printer driver in Classic

I recently reformatted my iBook from 2 partitions into one and have reinstalled just about everything; however, I have been unable to install the driver for my HP DeskJet 812C. I have the correct driver installer, and the installer runs through its usual setup, but when I click on the driver in the Chooser, up pops a dialog box telling me the driver could not be loaded. Any ideas how to fix this?
