Thank you all. I'm going to try Camino to see if I can squeak my computer out a bit longer but may have to bite the bullet.  Just trying to balance summer trip with husband against new computer.  Tough one!

I'm new to Techsurvivors.  My mother told me about you guys! I have a PowerBook G4, OS 10.3.9. with 512 MB RAM ( I think). I added 256 upon purchase.  I love this laptop but in the past few months, with increasing frequency, I'm denied access to advanced pages for purchases (ie .....ebay, kodak gallery, southwest airlines, etc).  I put my pointer on the "continue" button and there is no action.  Also, Safari just quits on me and I get bumped off.  This occurs on utube videos regularly.   My husband has a new Macbook Pro and I can do all these things on his computer, but not mine.  I keep the Activity Monitor open to see if I'm overloading and generally have about 185 MB memory free.

By the way, my use of this computer is fairly simple.  Internet, Word, Excel - plus some photos and music - but not excessive at all.  I'm a light user.  

My solution is to consider buying a new Mac, but I wonder if there is a way that I can save myself the $1000 and continue to use this one.
